West Coast Role Play – New Player Guide

Welcome to the server! This guide will walk you through the basics of getting started, earning money, buying property, using the bank, and more.

Create a Character:
On first join, you'll be prompted to create your character. Follow the prompts to set up your name and appearance.
UI:
- Open chat: T
- Interact (E): Context prompts will appear for pickups, doors, etc.
Buying a Phone: You can buy a phone at any 24/7, find them in the map. Once in the business type /buy. Remember that you will need a Sim Card in order to use your phone or place advertisements via /ad.

Find a Job:
Use /jobspots to see all job locations. Go to a job spot and interact to join.
Job Types:
- Trash Cleaner: /startclean
- Smuggler: /startsmuggle
- Mechanic: /repair [player] [price]
- Arms Dealer: Gather materials, craft, and sell guns.
- Drug Dealer: Buy/process drugs, sell to players.
- Mercenary: /find [player], /tie [player]
Materials & Drugs:
- Use /points to see material/drug pickup/delivery spots.
- Use /mats get [amount] or /drugs get [amount] at the correct point.
- Deliver or process at delivery points.

Find a House:
Houses for sale have a floating label and pickup.
Buy a House:
Stand near the house and use /buyhouse confirm.
Sell a House:
Stand near your house and use /sellhouse confirm.
Give a House:
Stand near your house and use /givehouse [playerid/name].
Lock/Unlock:
/door toggles your house lock.
Renting:
- /rent to rent a house (if available).
- /unrent to cancel your rent.
House Safe:
- /buyhousesafe to purchase a safe for item storage.
- /hsafe to access your safe (must be inside your house).

Find a Business:
Businesses for sale are marked on the map and have a pickup.
Buy a Business:
Stand near the business and use /buybiz.
Sell a Business:
Stand near your business and use /sellbiz confirm.
Give a Business:
Stand near your business and use /givebusiness [playerid/name].
Lock/Unlock:
/open toggles your business lock.
Restocking:
Some businesses need to be restocked to sell items.

Bank Location:
Go to the bank pickup (briefcase icon).
Bank Menu:
Interact to open the menu:
- Withdraw: Move money from bank to cash.
- Deposit: Move money from cash to bank.
- Wire Transfer: Send money to another player.
Commands:
- /pay [playerid/name] [amount] – Give cash to a nearby player.

Dealerships:
Marked on the map. Stand at the dealership and use /buy to open the menu.
Car Rentals:
Go to a rental business and use /buy to rent a vehicle.
- /unrentcar to return your rental.
Vehicle Insurance:
Visit the government building and use the insurance menu to buy/cancel insurance.

Location:
Government buildings are marked on the map (suitcase/arrow icons).
Services Offered:
- Pay Tickets: Clear outstanding fines.
- Change Name: Change your character's name for a fee.
- Buy Licenses:
  - Driving, flying, sailing, fishing licenses via the DMV menu.
  - Take a driving test or buy a license outright.
- Buy Insurance:
  - Health and vehicle insurance.
- Marriage License:
  - Apply for a marriage license.
- Impound:
  - Reclaim impounded vehicles.

`/givehouse [playerid/name]`	Give your house to another player

`/sellbiz confirm`	Sell your business
`/givebusiness [playerid/name]`	Give your business to another player
`/open`	Lock/unlock your business
`/buy`	Buy from a business or dealership
`/pay [playerid/name] [amount]`	Give cash to a nearby player
`/number [playerid/name]`	Get a player's phone number
`/sms [number] [message]`	Send an SMS
`/buylevel`	Level up your character
`/mask`	Toggle your mask on/off
